  • Fixed several EXIF/IPTC reader issues.

  • Timeline view improvements:
    - Ability to select a slide (only one!) and drag it holding Alt to push the next slides forward or pull them back.
    - Ability to move the slide show end line.
    - Ability to drag & drop pictures from the File List or Windows Explorer (it won't change the current slide positions).
  • Album:
    - When you use the Play All button, the program now closes separate slide shows regardless of their "Repeat" and "Close after finish" options.

Fixed:

  • Minor fixes.

v3.1.1

  • The Allocate button on the Timeline view of the Slide List now has "All Slides on Item Timeline" and "All Slides on Playlist Timeline" menu items.

v3.1.0

  • Now the web galleries (the Tools | Web Gallery menu) have templates (HTML and JavaScript code) and styles (CSS styles and button/background images). The current version contains only one template (slide show with a horizontal thumbnail filmstrip) and three styles. The templates and styles are located in "<program path>\WebGallery2" folder (one subfolder per template and style) and can be added or customized manually.

v3.0.2

  • Minor changes and fixes.
  • The Volume sliders in the Project Settings window | General tab were moved to a separate window. Now the Sync Playlist and Background Playlist have their own volume sliders.

  • The Thumbnail Panel can also display the navigation buttons. You can make the Thumbnails Panel floating and display it on another monitor.
  • Now you can change the font of the slide show timer.

  • The slide captions allow you to use semi-transparent colors, background shape (rounded rectangle) and shadow.
  • You can display and use a slide thumbnail panel during the slide show.
  • You can add silence intervals to the sound playlists.

Changed:

  • The Settings button displays only the project settings (the General and Advanced tabs).
  • Now each slide always has its own individual slide settings. The "global" slide settings (editable by the Settings button in v2.x) were removed. However you can change the default slide settings by the SlideShow | Default Slide Settings menu. All new slides you add to the project will use these settings.
  • The Sound button changes the Sync Playlist. The slides are synchronized with this playlist (the "Synchronize slides with audio" option is removed). However you can still use the Background Playlist (independent of the slides) and edit it by the SlideShow | Background Playlist menu.
  • The Sound column with the slide-specific playlists is hidden by default. Right-click on the slide list header to display it.
  • The program uses the new project format (".ssx" file extension). You can open v2 ".ss" projects by the File | Open menu selecting "SlideShow projects v2.x" in the "Files of type" dropdown list.

v2.7.5

  • Now the program uses the font of the current Windows theme for all its windows and forms. Earlier versions used the default Windows GUI font (MS Sans Serif). Usually on Windows XP the theme font is Tahoma 8, on Windows Vista the font is Segoe UI 9. Anyway the View | Options window allows you to select any font.
  • Additional Shadow options in the Slide Border and Shadow window.

v2.7.4

  • An ability to copy/paste slides (the Copy/Paste items in the slide list right-click popup menu) and controls (text, image boxes) in the Slide Editor window.

v2.6.2

Added:

  • You can place plug-in buttons on the toolbar and change their order in the Tools menu and the toolbar. Use the Help | Plug-ins menu.

v2.6.1

Improved:

  • Now the Caption and Info Text font options in the (Slide) Settings window | Slide tab allow you to change the background color and transparency. The Transparent text option on the General tab is removed.

Added:

  • The program can use EXIF & IPTC tags in the slide captions. For example {EXIF: Date/Time Original} will be converted to the original date/time placed to the JPEG image by the digital photo camera. The EXIF Inspector plug-in displays all EXIF and IPTC meta tags embedded into JPEG image files. Note: if you use the "Resize slide images" options for output slide shows, EXIF and IPTC information in output slide images is removed by MySlideShow.

v2.5

MySlideShow is now available in the Standard and Gold editions.

The Gold edition includes the Slide Editor add-in, a Timeline editor and Motion (Pan & Zoom) effects for output video files. The Motion effects are supported by the Video Generator plug-in v2.6.5 or later. The Slide Editor is no longer available as a separate product.

Customers of the Slide Editor can use their Slide Editor's registration code for MySlideShow Gold.

  • This update allows you to embed TrueType fonts to output slide shows.
Your output slide shows will use embedded fonts on computers where they are played.
This will work only on Windows 2000/XP or later. You can find the option in
the Create Output Slide Show dialog | Advanced tab.
  • New Web Gallery style: Slide Show (IE Transitions). It plays web slide show with
transition effects on Internet Explorer (other browsers don't support such feature).

v2.3.2

Added:

  • Two Ribbon Effects and Mosaic effect to Checkerboard Effects.

v2.3.1

Added:

  • Several new transition effects which can be used by the Video Generator plug-in. These effects are slow for real-time full screen slide shows. MySlideShow doesn't use them for the Random mode. You can still select them for the Custom mode (not recommended). The effects are marked by the special "video" icon. The "Far to Near" and "Near to Far" Zoom Effects look cool!

Fixed:

  • The program shut down trying to read some TIFF files.

v2.3

Added:

  • New mini-player and settings in the Playlist dialog: Volume, Fade In, Fade Out, Start Time, End Time. The End Time and Fade Out settings are useful if you want to synchronize your slides with the background playlist. If the playlist duration is long and your slide show contains few slides, the slide interval may be very long. Shorten the playlist by the End Time edit box and set the Fade Out interval not to cut music playback abruptly. The mini-player allows you to play audio files and test their settings.
  • Now the Playlist dialog and the synchronization toolbar panel calculate length of MIDI files.

  • You can also synchronize slides with the Background Playlist by the button there. The button duplicates the Synchronize option in the Settings dialog / General tab.
  • New "Additional anti-aliasing processing" option in the Output dialogs. It improves quality of output resized images, but slows down the process.
  • New "Trial Functionality" options in the Settings dialog / Advanced tab allow you to make your output slide shows time limited. Useful for professional photographers.

converts output slide images to JPEGs in this case.
